Greenwich

About two weeks ago on one of those rare sunny days we went to Greenwich. I can't believe it took me so long to go there after living in London for a year! Actually I will have to go back because the Observatory and the gardens were closed for the Olympics...
It was a very warm day with sun spells and some threatening dark clouds that look so good in pictures. Perfect!

On our way to Waterloo station. Looking dark but we trusted the weather man.

Even the Starbucks is nice in Greenwich.

And a very well deserved drink after a long day!

Beautiful Edinburgh

James and I decided to celebrate his birthday at the end of March with a three-day trip to Edinburgh. The best decision ever, we got sunny days and 18ºC! We went and came back First Class on the Flying Scotsman, a journey that takes only 4 hours and a half and has stunning views (plus I love travelling by train). Edinburgh is now one of my favourite cities in the UK :)

A little town and views of the sea from the train

Delicious breakfast in First Class!

Scott's Monument and our 4 star hotel!

The Balmoral Hotel

 Edinburgh's Castle

Holyrood Palace

Lunch in a place that looked like a cute granny's house and the old town

View of the city with the Castle on top

Nelson's Monument (terribly windy up there!) and another view of Edinburgh from the hill

Winter in London

I was meant to post this photographs a bit earlier as they are from last Sunday but I forgot about them (very me)! Anyway, today has been a very similar beautiful sunny day but a bit warmer, which is nice :)
Now to finish the day off we are cooking Tote in the Hole and will watch My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding afterwards (I can't wait, it's so much fun!!).

Squirrel!!! There are lots in London, but I still get excited like the first day I saw one.

Photographs by me in St James Park.
