Displaying
One of my recent favourite hobbies is to re-arrange the items on the shelves (I'm sure I'm not the only one?!). My boyfriend finds this very funny but I do enjoy it! I like putting different shapes and sizes together and creating a mix-matched group of stuff. I also like giving some use to mere decorative objects like the little vase you can see on the second pitcure, it's a good place to leave my necklace.
In one of the pictures below you can see the "A" I got from work. They were changing the sign outside the showroom and I decided to keep the letter "A" as it is my initial :) I painted it in a pretty tangerine colour using a sample pot in Charlotte's Locks.
My next project is to paint the mirror we have in Brinjal. I got the paint yesterday and now I can't wait to start sanding! Hopefully this will uplift the mirror and make it look prettier...

Embracing Summer
Shirt: Gap
Jeans: Uniqlo
Loafers: Russell&Bromley
Belt: from my childhood, almost vintage now!
Necklace: Anthropologie
Watch: Casio
Bag: vintage (my mum's)
Summer has arrived and I can't complain anymore! Well, about the rain yes, but nevermind, one cannot have everything in life!
Today I managed to store away the winter coats and make some space in my tiny shared wardrobe - success! I have hanged a newly bought Barbour (in the sales, of course) although still has got the tag, just in case I regret spending money on something I don't "need" but rather "want". Still, it was half price and the only one left on the rack so I think it was meant to be. The excuse that never fails :)
Excuse the crappy pictures of this post...
Have a good weekend!x

Spanish Journal - April and May
This time we went back to Getxo (Las Arenas, where I grew up) twice within four weeks cause my sister was flying over from NY. It had been almost two years since we last saw each other so it was lovely to be able to spend some time with her :)
Not going back until Christmas now so here are some pictures.
I have always dreamt of living in this house by the sea
Enjoying absolute bargains from Liberty's and TKMax under the sun
Had some drinks with friends at that pub you see on the left and enjoyed the views
Last view of the basque coast from the airplane

Renovated Spanish barn
Isn't it gorgeous? Very well converted into a house without losing many of the features that make it unique but at the same time making it practical and luminous. I'm loving all the lush vegetation, stone walls and floors and wooden beams. I also like the fact that the colour palette goes beyond white and earthy colours (seen too many times) to introduce a bit of lilac and red.

I don't seem to be able to stop wearing winter clothes! How about you? Are you wearing flip flops or being sensible (I swear I've seen people wearing flip flops in 12ºC)? I have refused to wear this coat anymore until at least October (I was gonna say November but then I realized I was being too possitive)! Will summer ever arrive? I am forgetting how it feels not to be cold...
Btw, I am planning to paint that boring mirror frame in the deep burgundy Brinjal from Farrow & Ball-just saying so you still believe in my skills as a designer :P
I will let you know how it turns out! ha, it could be very messy...
scarf and bag- stolen from my mum (with her permission, of course)
